講座概要
水彩画は水を使って絵具を溶き、描画していくためとても親しみやすい技法ですが、技法の種類が豊富なため、幅広い表現が可能な画材です。 絵具の透明感を引き出しながら、紙の白さを生かしつつ、絵具と筆さばきで表現する水彩画特有の表現手法について学びます。 透明水彩・不透明水彩の特性を理解し、紙の個性を生かしながら 制作する手順を解説します。画材の性質を理解したうえで、水彩画特有の彩度の高い色彩表現について、さまざまなモチーフを描画しながら段階的に修得します。
水彩画の進め方
水彩画の絵具(透明水彩・不透明水彩)の性質について 描き方の説明から、さまざまな水彩画の技法について詳しく学習します。
- 絵具の種類と性質について
(透明水彩・不透明水彩・水彩用画溶液など) - 紙の種類の解説と、紙の特徴を生かした描き方について
紙の種類、目の粗さの違い、 - 支持体準備の方法など
水張り・板張りの方法、下地塗りについて - 混色方法について
絵具同士の混色方法、レイヤーを重ねた色の作り方について - 彩色方法について
ウオッシュ、ブレンディング、ウォーターレジストテクニック、ドライブラシ など - マスキングを用いた描画方法について

Watercolor
Watercolor is easy using paint, however it has various characters and qualities of expressions. You will learn various expressions of watercolor with a transparent quality and a paper quality. Watercolor relates deeply to brushstroke and water control techniques
You will learn a basic watercolor technique of both transparent and gouache paints. After you understand this technique, you will be able to enjoy painting various objects with using vivid colors.

How to do watercolor?
You will learn a basic water color technique of both transparent and gouache paints. This class has various programs, such as painting still life, landscape, figures, botanical stuff etc.
About various characters of watercolor. (Transparent and gouache paints etc.) About various types of paper qualities and painting techniques. To know watercolor paper qualities, stretching, grounding etc. About mixing colors
To know mixing colors and making layers of colors. About making various color qualities
Wash, blending, water-resist technique, dry-brush etc. To know masking ink, various types of masking. Expression of textures: techniques of making various textures.
Dropping, pouring, paint diffusion, salt texture
About making texture by using sand, pigments, wash etc. Technique of mixed media
Color pencil, pastel, oil-pastel, acrylic etc. Still life painting: to paint many types of objects. Landscape painting:
to learn perspective and expression of space. Botanical art:

Oil Painting
From classical to contemporary, the style of oil painting has changed and developed through long history. You will able to learn a basic technique and find your own style through working with many types of objects.

Japanese painting "Nihonga"
Nihonga is based on Japanese traditions over a thousand years old. Typically using silk, brushes, special pigments from natural ingredients such as minerals, shells, and corals.
Acrylic painting
Acrylic painting became very popular among contemporary artists. This new pigment may be placed between oil paint and watercolor paint.
Egg Tempera
Tempera is a permanent, fast-drying painting medium consisting of colored pigment mixed with a water-soluble binder medium (usually a egg yolk or some other size).

Abstract art
In the end of the 19th century JMW Turner felt to create a “new kind of art” and Paul Cezanne and Pablo Picasso developed it. The beginning of the 20th century Wassily Kandinsky finally presented his painting as an abstract painting.

Botanical art. Illustrating botanical subjects such as trees and flowers. You will be required artistic skill and attention to fine detail. Please do not hesitate but enjoy a relationship with botany.
