Street of Happiness 1 ‐ 幸福の通り１展

ART SCHOOL GINZA 併設の中川画廊にて、ルーマニアの芸術家であるクルジュ・ナポカ芸術・デザイン大学理事長のイオアン・スパルチュウと、同校教授のラドゥ・ソロヴァストゥル両氏をお招きし、展覧会：Street of Happiness1-幸福の通り１展を11月4日から20日まで開催しました。動画は、11月4日のオープニングパーティの模様です。各界からの著名人の皆様にお越しいただき、ルーマニアと日本の貴重な文化交流の場を設けさせていただきました。

We are very happy to introduce the two Romanian artists, Ioan Sbarciu, a president of the Cluj-Napoca, and Radu Solovastru, a professor of the Cluj-Napoca. The exhibition “No.1 Happiness Street” represents the principle relationship between a man and nature also between the West and the East.

幸福の通り１は、その自らの性質の通り、より高度な段階へ向け上昇していく現象に訴える三つの言葉に基礎を置いている。当然ながら、「通り」とは、大都市の日常生活においてはきわめてダイナミックで不可欠のものとなっているが、それは外界および都市のアクセサリーであり、第一の境界線を創っており、同時に、外部と内部の第一の接点、意識と無意識、自然と精神の接点でもある。象徴的に言えば、通りは、個人の精神的価値を取り戻すための、歩むべき道であり、侵食の道、新たな次元への道となっているのである。二つ目の言葉である「幸福」は、普遍的に言えることであるが、心の感謝する状態、それぞれの個人の絶対的願望のもっとも強いものである。すなわち幸福は、外部の精神とエネルギーからは独立した、各自が自らの生命を通じて実現する精神的な達成物といえるのである。さらに「１」という数字は、その強度において、一方で、幸福の絶対的な状態を達成する方法の第一段階をなしており、他方で、それぞれの人間の経験の唯一性を示しているのである。

美術展は、観客の皆さんに欧州の想像力が再出発点としている二つのモチーフを提案している。すなわち、森：自然の化身、迷路そして認識と自己認識のためのイニシエーションの旅、そしてさらに、肖像画：内面の鏡であり精神の可視的なインターフェイスです。美術展は、二人の著名な芸術家の一つの対話あるいはデゥエット、そして態度の異なる二つの造形的言語の未完の聨合となっています。この二つの言語は独自に生きているのですが、驚くほどの結合を見せうるのです。そして発信するメッセージとエネルギーによってダイナミックで牢固な芸術の一つの状態を観る人たちに伝えるのです。

The exhibition is a pretext for a symbolic junction between some fundamentals principles of the Western civilization and an Oriental vision on both individual and nature.

No.1 Happiness Street is based on three terms that, by them very selves, appeal to the phenomenon of transcendence towards a superior stage. Obviously, the street, an extremely dynamic element that had become indispensable to the everyday life in the city, accessory of the exterior world and of the urban, creates the first frontier as well as the first cohesion between exterior and interior, between conscious and unconscious, between nature and spirit. Symbolically, the street becomes the way that needs to be followed, the path towards transgression, and the initiating journey towards a new dimension, whose stake is the acquisition of the individual spiritual values. The second term, happiness, is universally valid, as this state of spiritual satisfaction, of maximum intensity is an absolute desire of every individual. Therefore, happiness is a construct of the spirit, acquired by the individual through himself, irrespective of the exterior space and energy. The Number 1, itself, marks, on one hand, a firs step on the way towards absolute happiness and, on the other hand, the uniqueness of every experience of the human individuation.

The exhibition puts forwards to the viewers two recurrent motives of the Occidental imaginary: the forest – avatar of nature, labyrinth and initiating journey towards knowledge and self-knowledge, and the portrait – mirror of the interiority and visible interface of the spirit. In the same time, the exhibition gets to be a dialogue or a duet, an amazing association between two artistic personalities, between two languages that live by themselves but can merge in a surprising manner. Thus, they reveal to the public, through their message, through their energy, a state of art both consistent and dynamic.
